When you watch this, aside from thinking, “am I watching the History Channel?” Are you thinking, “Damn, that Jesus is sexy!”

The actor Diogo Morgodo’s Jesus has insipired the hashtag “#HotJesus”. This hashtag, according to CNN, has gone viral on all social media, particularly Twitter. This makes me a little worried about our society that hashtags and sexy jesus’ are our way of life, I even turned to a good friend during church on Sunday commenting on how the preacher was grabbing our attention through speaking in hashtags and relating to us by taking about sex. But, it is the way it is and the actor made a good point in saying to The New York Times he doesn’t want his looks to distract from the movie, but, “If the message of Jesus was love, hope and compassion, and I can bring that to more people by being a more appealing Jesus, I am happy with that.” Well, I think Dora The Explorers says it best, “Go Diogo, Go!”

If he wants to spread the word through his divine hotness go for it. For more about this check out CNN’s story on the whole thang…more power to you #hotjesus. Spread that sexy word.

AS for movies in general, this weekend is the oscars. This means for many of you grabbing a  glass of wine, cuddling up on your sofa and falling asleep before they tell you who won best picture. For me this means avoiding Hollywood Blvd since last week, non stop headlines about how the oscars are prepared for the STORM OF THE CENTURY (it will probs drizzle) and watching with friends who are dreaming of someday being their themselves and being done watching in time to get back to South Central before dark.
